Cremant de Loire is aromatic, attractive and very expressive. With a strong but elegant taste in mouth this is a complex wine bringing freshness in mouth.
It usually contains some Chenin Blanc, a renowned grape variety for its freshness and acidity. Each Crémant de Loire expresses its own soil because it spreads out all along the Loire Valley. The Chenin expresses all these different soils. The wealth of these grape varieties and some blend grape varieties allow a very nice wine diversity.
Mostly appreciated as an aperitif and during festive moments, the Crémant de Loire provides premium quality bubbles to amateurs. It is very pleasant with goat cheese Bouchee o rpoached fish or with deserts served with red or yellow fruit well . You can also enjoy it with asian food, soup and even seafood. Food pairings depend on which Cremant de Loire you choose.
Appellation: AOP Crémant de Loire Rosé
Grape varieties: 50% Grolleau, 50% Cabernet Franc Soil: Clays and silts
Average vine age: 15-20 years-old
Density: 4500 vines/hectare
Vineyard mangement: Cordon pruning for Grolleau and single Guyot pruning for Cabernet Franc. Cover cropping 1 row out of 2 with canopy (mix of fodder radish, oats and vetch). Mechanical weeding, none use of chemicals.
Winemaking process: Hand harvesting in crates. Direct pressing in whole bunches. Juice selection. Alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless-steel vats. Adding the tirage liquor (only yeast) in December to allow the prise de mousse according to the “Méthode Traditionnelle” principles. Ageing between 12 and 18 months.
Tasting notes: Pale pink color. Intense nose of ripe strawberry and pomelos. On the palate, the wine is fresh and round with refine bubbles.
